It's quite an interesting job. No power supply, good pressure but a flow rate of only 8 l/min. Customer wants to run two showers and the hot tap on the kitchen sink. He was talking about fitting cisterns on stilts etc. to provide a store of water and a standard cylinder with an LPG circulator. After much searching it appears that no one makes a basic circulator any more and most solutions require a power supply.

After a bit of thought it looked like an accumulator would fit the bill. Unfortunately the price for the accumulator was over a grand so I've gone with this.

It's a 300l potable expansion vessel. I'm supplying it via a DC valve and pressure reducing valve set to 3 bar.

I'll also be fitting a 6 bar PRV to the top of the vessel.

Hot water will be provided by a Morco G11E water heater.

The eagle eyed amongst you will notice the lack of fire proof board behind the heater. That's because it is in the garage along with the 42mm fittings to connect to the expansion vessel so the heater is fixed temporarily so I could get the pipework in place.

The showers are Mira miniduo eco showers that flow a maximum of 6 l/min.

What accumulator were you looking at for it to cost 1k? Also how much was the expansion vessel?

It was fron TW accumulators. The vessel was £340 plus VAT.

That's not bad. The last 300L accumulator I got was from GAH and cost approx 580 inc VAT. The TWS ones are very expensive in comparison.

nice job only thing that spoils it in the first few pictures is that blue tractor with the white box on the back.

Bet the locals thought the gipo's had arrived with the fairground trailing close behind.

By the way, I am only having a bit of fun before the land rover defence league start on me. Interesting job as well.

That's still full. I found it hidden away when I cleared out the plant room.

Interesting job and how cool is that to be able to work outdoors during the summer? :)

The vessel came with a 1/2" MI connection on the top and an 1 1/2" MI on the bottom.
