Hi, I am thinking of fitting a new toilet and sink in my garage, I have been told that the only way to do this is to use a macerator system. However, the garage is approximately 15 feet from the house, does anyone know if this is possible to do, my main concern is that there will be a mains water connection and a waste connection hovering in mid air from the two buildings which will look awful. Can I plumb into the mains without digging up outside etc, If anyone has any suggestions or help etc this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi, Only use a macerator when you have no other option or you are going to be the only person using it and understand their limitations and thats from someone who works on them every day!

You say the house is 15ft away but where are the drains, is there a manhole cover between the house and the garage or in the driveway? And don`t forget all incoming and outgoing pipes can run underground subject to the distance and "fall" on the outgoing pipe so you might not be digging deep if you decide to go for it.
