hi .......just replaced syphon in cistern. exact same replacement syphon, works now, trouble is you generaly have to push the handle twice to get it to flush.....any ideas :(

Sounds like a faulty diaphragm or water level too low in cistern.

Mike

try connecting the wire hook which connects between the syphon and handle a little higher up

make sure the hook off the siphon is going up vertical and not coming off at an angle when you push the lever down.or as straight as possible.

you may have to twist the siphon round a little.

hi mike, dam and wigz ....all sorted now....ended up being the rod from handle to plastic lever off syphon.....roten rod/worn handle....thanks for your advice....regards mike
