i have had a new toilet fitted with a macerator but the cistern leaks
into the toilet pan and then the macerator starts up is this due to
bad coupling to toilet pan

usually means the syphon seal has a problem or the cistern is overflowing into the bowl

is that seal were syphon fits to pan or inside cisten
it is not overflowing if you turn water off it empties cistern

gotta be the seat on the syphon to the cistern then mate .. dont force it but the syphon will probably just twist off quarter turn if it is a 2 button type there may be a bit of debri holding the washer off its seat
