Hi,
It may be coincidence but not long after getting oil fired central heating fitted to older ex-council property (fireplace and necessary plumbing torn out/replaced as required) every time toilet is flushed it sounds like a foghorn. Vibrations run through house and can be heard clearly outside, but quietens down considerably if cold tap on wash hand basin is running when flushed (no discernible effect if hot tap run on own, but silent if both taps running). Have tweaked filling valve in cistern to quieten but comes back after a week or less. After OFCH fitted, noticeable increase in water pressure from taps throughout house and electric shower started leaking. I suspect I know what the problem is, but not sure of fix. Plumbing experience negligible, but have helped replace piping during house renovation in other properties in the past. Advice or thoughts please?
