Hello,

I have problem with my toilet system, when I flush the toilet it sounds like a fog horn .

This noise stops temporarily when I turn on the bathroom cold tap.

Can anyone help with this?

Cheers

you either have too much pressure to the cistern or the washer is damaged

The noise actually occurs when the cistern fills up

See where the water enters and there should be a isolation valves, it has a flat head screw driver slot on it. Try turning that down a few degress, say 45.

If this fails then the washer in the fill valve will need replacing

Is this only just started occuring is it a new toilet?

It has been going on for a few months now.

The toilet was fitted several years ago.

I will try and adjust the isolation valve.

If this doesn't work will I have to replace the internals.
