the nuts split/cracked or the threads sheared.
had it a load of times.
is it one of those thin ones?

try a 15mm deep one, they are a lot tougher or buy a new one there only £3

I didnt do the job, a letting agent asked us to replace the toilet handle and apparantly it keeps working its way loose even after it is tightnened right up. This is with a brand new one.

I also had this problem in my old house on my toilet when I replaced the handle.

Such a simple thing but its being a pain in the ***

i probs didnt make full sence i am talking about using the nut that comes with the handle and a spare and using the spare as a locking nut
