I'm swamped, having to turn down stuff left right and centre at the moment. Anyone local to me looking for more work? It's stuff from minor boiler breakdowns up to bathroom refits and boiler swaps. At the moment I'm booked solid until mid October so can't take on any new customers that aren't willing to wait.

It won't be subbing to me I'll just give the customers your details and if you want the job you take it.

I'm posting in here because I'd rather pass work on to a regular than someone just passing through.

Much happier self employed although there are times when it was nice being employed, like today, dodgy guts and just waiting for them to settle down before I head out to work. If I was employed I'd have taken the day off.

MJ .... I would happily come and do a install or two for you , get price sorted with customer and order materials and I will turn up at the job and will get it done ... I will be looking to get a good day rate and you will have a happy customer and job done 100 % . If job rolls to two days I will then get a cheap BB and finish it of on the next day .

Not bad but could be better. I've found in the past I could do a bit of servicing work, flit back to installs, do some new builds, some jobbing plumbing and back again depending on how i'm feeling.
It was nice and varied but it's changed so much in such a short space of time.
I find i'm being pushed out of bathrooms and boiler installs by falling prices and repair and servicing is being squeezed by the big boys.
I'm not too worried about making big bucks, SE is more about the lifestyle and flexibility for me so i'm happy enough.

I'm the same as mike utterly swamped with work lost count of how many installs think 4 big ones and couple smallish ones , plus council works and my own gubbins.
thing is it all wants doing same time arrrrggghhhhhh

We are seeing it too, right across the South East. June-Aug is normally a quiet period for us, but not this year. If we get a couple of nice early frosts, the autumn is going to be manic.

Fingers crossed.

In NN7 post code just outside Northampton temperatures in the morning are about 11 degrees ..... All we need is few days of good rain and this will drop evening temperatures below 10 degrees and then......
