Tool to remove water-filter tap

Hi

I've got to change a water filter tap which is leaking but it's tucked behind an enamel (Belfast?) sink which is deep. So I've not got a lot of room and it's a long reach to get to quite a small backnut... 1/2 inch or less and quite thin. So, does anyone know of any good tools that will allow me to get to it, allowing for the the fact that a thin plastic pipe feeds up to the centre of the tap, so I can't get a socket on there?

look here for tool Monument Box Tap Back Nut/Mono Tap Box Spanner Set - Machine Mart the plastic pipe will have to go down the middle of the box spanner

? if you are replacing the tap, can you not cut the pipe flush with the nut ?
