Good Morning all,

I need some advice on a leakage that I am having with my bathroom towel rail.

I have unscrewed the cap of the valve and tighten the nut underneath but still leaking. Please see the image attached showing where the leak is.

Does that mean I need to fit a new valve?

Thank you.

Ras.

Yes, it's a replacement. You can swap the internals. One of these below from screwfix will swap.

Thanks Knappers and Chalked for the the replies.

I have a few questions if you don't mind.

1. Do I change both valves or just the one leaking?

2. How easy will it be for an above average diy guy to swap them?
There is a screwfix near me so can get those tomorrow.

3. Do I have to drain the towel rail before carrying this out? Any instructions in this direction will really be appreciated.

Thanks once again.

Ras.

It's an easy job with a spanner. You will need to drain the system too.

Buy a better quality valve with a spindle gland rather than an o ring seal and you wont get that problem again
