Does anyone know a manufacturer of traditional 'cross head' Regency / Victorian style taps with ceramic mechanism?

Okay! Try Screwfix they sell Swirl taps. That is of course if your looking for ceramic disc taps at a cheap price.

As to whether the style of tap would do for what you want, that is another question. They do however, I think, call them traditional taps.
