just testing the water so to speak, anyone looking to work alongside a plumber to gain some experience.
i'm based in bristol and looking for trainee,at first you would need to be able to work for free but you will learn all aspects of plumbing work, and as you become more experienced then i will start paying.

Hi I am looking for a plumber to work alongside to gain some experience. I completed city and guilds level 2 plumbing 6129 in June 2009 at Bourneville College. I am currently studying for my level 3 at the same college. I am willing to work for free as i am gaining experience.

hi jimmy16v, just found your profile and the opportunity you are offering is priceless. i am extremely interested if its still available? i have just started my my NVQ level 2 in plumbing at Stroud college and really need the work experience. I am happy to work for free for the time being or until you feel i should be paid. i look forward to your reply. please can you email me at [email protected]. thanks

Wish you was in essex :( or I was in bristol, which ever way you look at it?

Hi Jimmy,

If you havent found a trainee yet, I would very grateful if you could consider me for this position. I completed the Level 2, 6129 in June, and since then I have been looking for experience as a Plumbers mate/assistant. I have also been seriously considering returning to college to progress on to level 3, and would be happy to work unpaid until I become fully trained.

Many Thanks

Andrew

Hi Jimmy. I would like to applaud you for offering such a situation. Although we ain't trained to a degree standard in order to be plumbers. At last young people who recognise a good living can be had as a hard working plumber, are prepared to pay with time to learn. In line with the news this week, where students may be paying £9000 plus a year for the privilege of a degree.
Keeping people on here posted as to the day to day outcome of your scheme may well be of interest and generate support as needed. Good Luck

Hi Jimmy,

I wish you were closer to Torquay as I have been looking to gain experience with a plumber for a while. I am 40 yrs old and am studying towards NVQ level 3 but learning at college is nothing like hands on experience, unfortunately no one seems to want to employ someone who is not fully qualified.... catch 22 ! How do you get experienced and qualified unless you can work with a qualified plumber !

I applaude your efforts to help someone get work exp. Anyone in Torquay, Devon reading this you can email me on [email protected]

Thanks

thanks for the interest guys, this is a post i put on here a while ago,so the position is now gone sorry to say.
for all those still wanting to learn plumbing just keep at it and sooner or later you'll find a placement

cheers,jimmy
