I have always been advised that the DHW start 22mm to the bathroom and branches 15mm to all other outlets, confused as the boiler I have just looked at (duotec40he) only has a 15mm DHW feed. Q. does this need to be connected straight to 22mm or can it remain 15mm?

Hello PlumbingKizzle, welcome aboard www.UKPlumbersForums.co.uk. Stick around, I'm sure you'll like the place. :)

think you are getting confused
on a combi the flow and return are 22mm the dhw outlet is 15mm
on a system boiler the tank is 22mm and then will tee off in 15 to the sink taps but stay in 22 for bath etc
are you on a training course??

ften books qill tell you the hot and cold should be in 22mm, in real terms they are normally 15mm

My confussion lay in the DHW from the combi, as it starts 15mm can this remain for the entire DHW circuit?

I am due to start a course very soon but in the meantime trying to swot up and get a little jump start - dont like jumping in cold footed lol
