I have an ideal he24 which has an electrical fault. the box on the wall where the power goes to the boiler has a red flashing light on. Also there is no power to the boiler at all, nothing yet power is reaching the main switch on the control panel as i have checked with a multimeter..
any guidance will be very kind. thanks

its called a neon fused spur. they do flicker check behind the plate for loose wiring. if you have power to the boiler, have you tried switching it on?.

please call someone who knows what they are doing as if you dont know what the red light is are you really able to start fault finding without giving yourself a bob marley hairdo

sorry i may have misled u . The red light is not on the boiler its on the wall and i think its for the wireless roomstat. The boiler has been checked up to the power switch which is getting power but the boiler does not lightup its as if the power is switched off. the inline fuse on the pcb has also been checked which is also fine. ???? thanks for trying to help..

Thanx I thought it may be that but was not sure if it could be the user control panel instead ? what do u think, i dont want to waste what little money i got.

The PCB on the isar is the most common fault of this bolier. Ive lost count of how many i know of, that have gone. Is it under warranty?
Im not saying yours has gone (probably has though), might be worth giving Ideal a call.

just finished spending over 600 quid on ideal isar, one thing after another fan, pcb, diverter, pump, thermistor
all within 3 months - thats one boiler that needs throwing in canal. dont spend a penny on the thing, wasted money - get new

no just out, I had a quick look at prices today & the pcb`s go for around £140. Thanks very much for your imput you h ave been a great help.

yep...ideal?....far from it!!!

agree, thinking back to just before xmas, we had one and it was the fan that had fried the pcb. £360 total as the fan needed changing too to stop it taking out the new pcb.
think it was this one,
