tried to release pressure from the pressure gauge and now heat won't work

Can someone help we tried to release pressure from our pressure gauge for our oil tank and we released both air and water and now the boiler won't fire up at all! Left heating on for a bit and there was smoke coming from it, what should be do?

Turn it off!

And call in a qualified guy.

Get an oftec engineer in to sort it.

What was the reason for releasing pressure? Or had you run out of oil?
