Morning, anyone have any experience with the tristor manual fill cylinder.
customer has spoken to manufacturer who told him simple to fit, 45 minute job !
do we need to have unvented ticket to fit these ? are they any good ?
any replies gratefully received thanks.

They are thermal stores, not unvented, so no G3 required. Manual fill means they need to top up the expansion tank every now and again, but no overflow pipe required. Top up can be done with a bucket / kettle, or run a cold pipe to top with a lever valve on it over filling hole.

You might be able to fit one in 45 minutes if the space was accessible and completely empty with only the necessary pipes in place and exactly in line with the tank connections.

Realistically, 3 to 6 hours to drain and remove old, unpack and install new, run connections, install and wire up immersions, fill and test, part drain, add inhibitor (and quite a lot, dependent on capacity), sign off and demonstrate. I'd receommend you book them up for an annual service.
