hi all , im just filling out an application form for a new job , a mechanical & electrical officer . the job description asks for no electrical quals , only gas safe. the job is to make sure that the company complies with regulations etc when working , and to give staff toolbox talks on stuff . the job asks for experience on gas , oil and solid fuel , ive booked my self on a hetas course for next week now. got gas and oil as it is.
only being 24 yrs old I don't think I have a chance in hell of having this job but I reckon its worth a try at 8k more wages than im on now + flexi hours.
I just want some help with what to say in an interview that nobody else will have picked up on . im going to suggest that the company uses pda's to do all cp12s and certs from now on ect, and that every gas installer should have a toolbox talk every 4-8wks to make them aware of recent changes or updates. im also going to suggest that we start thinking ahead when planning heatings in properties so larger rads can be put in place now encase they decide to go for heat pumps in the future etc . anything else? apparently they all about health & safety!
