Hi perhaps somebody has come accross similar problem, came across twin entry radiator valve 10 mm compression, yorkshire imperial marked on manual valve, leaking from stem of valve, yes can thread tape giving temp repair, but looking for permanant fix unable to source, is a similar valve on market, or maybe able to take inside from similar model, alternative is repipe trying to avoid this, any suggestions welcome.

If you can get the plug out the other end then re pipe it.

Chances are its a Stone Age rad anyway so you may as well change it

Easy permanent fix if you can be bothered but as said best to change it for 2 separate valves.

Thank for replying think it will have to be new rad and valves, was looking for easy fix with valve insert but its not to be, when I give quote I wont feel guilty, as tried for other options.

always worth trying to get the plug out of the opposite end, will make the job easier and cheaper for the customer who will have you back for further work. rather than thinking you are too expensive and never calling again. imho

unless of course the radiators are past it, in which case swap away lol

If I am remembering right, I think I was able to fix a Yorkshire twin valve spindle by just simply screwing the spindle out & replacing the O rings. No water, so it must be similar idea to the Peglers Belmont rad valves that can have O rings changed without draining down. Can't guarantee it was Yorkshire type although highly likely, so be careful if attempting!
Obviously valves at each end of radiator would be preferable. Probably a 1970s job I guess, so new modern convector rad & Trv & lockshield valves if customer can afford. Really modernises a house.
