got 120sq meters of underfloor to lay on y own in two weeks, aybody got an unwider?? ar they any good? how much do they cost and could it be easilly made??? quite hady with a welder!!!

Often wondered if something like that existed bit like what the sparks have for cable, not seen one as yet but something could probably be fabricated the only issue I can see is the size it would need to be vs its practicality.

Maybe if the pipe coil was laid horizontal over a pin to stop it slipping then fed through two verticle rollers on ball bearings that helped to straighten it as you go?

If its like Nu Heat UFH pipe where there are individual small coils for each loop, it's easier to just hold it and roll it out. If its a large single coil, get a mate to follow you round holding the coil and spinning it round.

We used to lay so much UFH in large new builds, the boss bought a pipe decoiler from Uponor, but it was useless. Couldn't pull off enough easily and the natural bend in the pipe was always the wrong way, so we binned it. Have used 2 trestles with a scaffold pole through middle as well in disparate times.

Having said that I did see some Wirsbo contractors with a decoiler with a motor and rollers on it to straighten the pipe, and a heater to pump through warm water to make the pipe more malleable. Looked the dogs, although prob cost more than the entire UFH kit.
