Saturday morning came across a boiler a NON GSR installed and then got out a GSR engineer to commission it . Well it only was half commissioned and the GSR engineer had walked out ,but left it running and custs never had any GSR sign off. Anyhows quick look and see its someone i know notorious for working out of scope.

What you reckon a phone call or not bother?

When you say half commission what had he done and why did he walk?

Not seen the boiler but was there doing some taps and she started about the boiler escapade said undersized pipes.

Showed me paperwork was half filled out and was someone i know of , they work out of scope all the time that i know100%

unless the customer declares who installed it and complains, nought will come of it

He installs commercial work as well yet not done the course kinda can i be bothered to or not yet come across his work quite often and it aint great

Its always worth the call, imagine if people died due to one of his installs that you could of stopped, at least if you report him your conscience is clear, if they choose to act on it or not

Update *

Phoned up gsr today and wasted 10 mins of my life , even tho their is documentation to prove an illegal install and a gas safe engineer half commissioned and left on the appliance .

They literally can not be bothered.

Best of it is customers are pretty much unaware what gas safe do just as well become the pointless register

Just pay them your money every year and marvel at how good they operate

Next time you see your GS rep or have an inspection raid his car for the freebie's got to get your moneys worth, don't seem to be paying for much else

Although it may seem a waste of time but just keep reporting them.

If something goes wrong in years to come and there is a fatality hse will get involved, I would of thought that gas safe have to keep a record of everything said so if they do nothing and someone dies it will look extremely bad on them and they may be forced to do more.

If you do nothing they know nothing so can't be held responsible.
