Family friends are doing a barn conversion and are looking at underfloor heating. Not being something I have really been involved with myself, they are wanting to know what routine maintenance is required and what if any parts need replacing as time goes on, what are the usual problems / drawbacks / advantages, and are there some systems more or less reliable than others.

Any advice appreciated

i havent heard of any underfloors giving problems regarding the underfloor part obviously the pumps and mixing valves can fail as can any component
important thing is to fit to MI's

So basically it's just a case of keeping an eye on the pumps, the pressure, the mixing valves and the stats, just as if it were a radiator system?
