Underground FloPlast MDPE

I'm fitting a floplast-mdpe-female-adaptor Screwfix PtNo 11625
with a brass male-coupler Screwfix PtNo 82086
(i.e. 3/4" brass thread into plastic)

It seems a very tight fit, does anyone know if I should use ptfe tape as-well?

yeah but make sure you dont put too much tape on or it may cross thread ,,brum
