Hello everyone

I was called to a house yesterday where a zip aquaflow direct unvented cylinder was discharging a constant drip through the tundish.

I checked the T and P valve and the expansion valve and they both seemed to be reseating themselves ok.

Then I checked the pressure on the expansion vessel and put it up to the required 3 bar pressure.

I did this 3 times and made sure that the pressure was still 3 bar on the expansion vessel

Despite all this the drip persists.

Any thoughts or ideas would be very welcome

thanks

paul

Where was the leak from? I take it you undone both nuts downside of the safety valves to see which one was passing?

replace which ever valve is leaking like for like from manuafacturers spares list

Got the same problem mate, I recharged the expansion vessel...replaced TPRV but still a discharge.... let me know if you fix this. Thanks

Hi Paul
How did you check / adjust the pressure in the vessel ?? Was the water turned off & system pressure zero ?
Are you G3 ?

Hi

Yes I am G3 qualified and have fitted a number of cylinders mainly Megaflows and Tribunes, however not come across a Zip before, although the system is the same.

However I have not come across this problem before

I checked the pressure on the vessel with a [h=2][DLMURL="http://www.reginproducts.co.uk/flowandpressure/REGK30"]REGK30 - Pressure Vessel Pump[/DLMURL][/h]and put it up to the required 3 bar pressure

Yes the water was turned off

regards

Paul
