Hi I'm have a new central heating system New boiler / pressurized Cylinder 210 new mdpe main 25 mm its being done soonish ( plumbers busy at the mo )

how much more effort is needed to add a nest system or similar and what is entailed ? do you need new rad valves sensors etc. and could it be added retrospect or needs to be thought about whilst fitting new system

Ps old system was / is a Gravity fed one 50 Gallon tank and Copper cylinder which is going

Cheers

I'm not a fan of the nest these days.
If boiler has 'BUS' or 'opentherm' control option then I would look at using that,
Either manufacturers own control (depending on brand) or perhaps look at tado?

Nest does work with Open therm, it’s whether the boiler supports it.
