Hello.

Can anybody give me some advice please. My father wanted to get the old cylinder down from the loft so he has cut through a pipe at the bottom of the cylinder and there is water pouring out! They were told the cylinder had been drained, will it just be water still inside or could it be connected to something?
They have a combi boiler now so the cylinder isn't in use.
Managed to bung it with something for now but don't know how long it will last
Thank you

Are there any other pipes connected to it? If it's the one at the very bottom it's probably water that's left in the cylinder. Get a tray or two and collect the water. It could be several buckets of water
