Bg did in an old glowworm and failed it. I have never really got a stable reading in a wall hung bf boiler, you can't get the probe in far enough for a start.

i used it the other day on a solo, but generally i dont, the ones ive had lately have had big ID stickers put on them for being rotten as a rotten thing

i dont anaylise anything thats not condensing no point as there are no figures for them in the mi'sand it was never part of the servicing schedule inlet and burner pressure gas rate and flame picture is more than enough info to declare it safe

Someone should tell British gas this they failed one on my patch due to high ratio.

ok guys i know about bb was taking the **** about analyseing old boilers meant to put bf instead done bb

If doesn't have a port and older than 15 years I don't that's my cut off

I do all the normal safety checks & stick my analyser in on completion also... Most give good reading & it's a just another sign its running safely which gives me more peace of mind :)

When I sat my resits, I asked the question and was told to analyse every boiler. I was under the impression originally if it didn't say in mis then don't do it but was told otherwise.

how can you stick it into a balanced flue drill a hole in the centre :D

You guys never have to use your analyser on a standard efficiency boiler for your ACS?
Put the analyser up into the down draught divertor. Same for BBU's.
You will still have clean readings on a clean burning appliance that has been properly serviced.

My testo has a long analyser tube end It normally reaches into the inner exhaust gas from the outside like any other balanced flue?
