Hi guys had a new Worcester condensing boiler fitted about 4 weeks ago, the guy that fitted the boiler used our existing pipework and rads, they are a good 30 years old but appears in good nick if fact the copper seems to be more heavy duty than the modern stuff,
He showed me how to top up the water pressure for the boiler saying 1.5bar will be ok,
I have had to top it up around 6 times since he fitted the boiler, he came back and found a dripping joint under the lower floor which he sorted but said if the pressure still drops it maybe worth him putting an additive in the sys that finds and stops leaks, I can only imagine its like the stuff you put in a leaking car rad,
Anyway my worry is will it harm my new boiler or affect my warranty with Worcester as its a 5 year warranty,
What do you think guys is it ok to add to my sys or not????
Nick.
