Hi

What paperwork / test sheets do you guys issue when servicing unvented hot water cylinders? Ive got my G3 quals, maybe the course wasn't great but I don't recall the running through sample forms that should be filled out. I want to give customers some kind of documentation if I do a service, ideally computer based rather that hand written. Has anyone got a sample form or a PDF that they can share?

Cheers

As above, nothing apart from a mention on the invoice.
The only ones we service as a rule are in nursing or care homes and Schools. The rest only get seen when there's an issue.

Surely it should need some kind of test record though, something that states pressures, readings taken etc... I come from mainly an electrical background where everything has to be certificated, maybe I'm just over thinking it!

I usually check them over on a boiler service for safety and may note it on the invoice. Some instructions do ask for a strip service on multi-function valve and some even a draindown and inspection but the issue with domestic cylinders is that it would be cheaper to not service and just replace when it fails.
Pull the PRV's, check and charge the expansion and note it as a safety check if at all.
I also don't charge extra, just tap it on end of service and remind customer why they use me and not 'BG' etc. The faults you find will generate enough ancillary work to make it worthwhile anyway (in my experience).
