Vaillant con error

Hi all, I'm not too sure which model the boiler is but it's coming up with a 'con' error. Had a little dig and seems like the Pcb could be knackered. Anything else I can look before I break the good news to the custard (!)

Vaillant EcoTec con = No Communication to main board / Connection Error Display Main board, make sure no lose connections.

Thanks jts.... After checking and if problem persists, then new board i take it?

Ye I'm fairly sure it's a new pcb.

You could be looking at a display as well because that to can show con error and when you fit the new board they automatically pair up with each other and hey-ho still the same fault......... But try a board first to save on cost it normally sorts it, but if it's an earlier ecotec try unplugging the fan this to will cause the same fault.......
