Had a call today from my dads boss, his company fitted the above in a school not to long ago. But a couple of weeks ago they phoned him saying it only gets hot to 45c. He has given me the G.C number 47-044-40, couldn't tell me what model it was.

I was thinking frozen con pipe, but it's been going on to long for that.

Any help would be smashing thanks people

first thing to check is has anyone been fiddling, then get a gsr to go have a look! not a lot to be said otherwise on the info youve given.

I'm having a look Tuesday

Just wanted a little heads-up first as I think it's a bit of a trek from me

well if its a newish boiler and not a controls issue make it vaillants problem.

Its the ecotec plus 824. New version. sounds like someone has been changing the settings on the control panel.

You need to check the heating output on the control panel. In a big property it'll struggle if it's been set too low. I had one in a large house set to 9kw and adjusted it up. I had to look through the instructions a fair but to work it out though.

I was there today, couldn't find any problems with the boiler/install. The boiler will not go to full power for some reason, spoke with vaillant TEC run though some test with them on the phone & still didn't show any problems so got a vaillant engineer coming out tomorrow. Hoping he can sort it as the class rooms it's supplying are freezing & they are unable to hold class's in there.

P.s the hot water works fine. Are you having same problems then NOVICEGAS????

Nope just did the new Vaillant Ecotec course and was interested. Keep us updated as to the Vaillant engineers answer. cheers

They have a partial load setting which triggers when flow & return temp is under 20 Deg C as far as I remember. You can change it on installer level. Check manual for exact numbers. Supposed to be because modern domestic domestic premises can hold temp for 2 hours if properly insulated according to Vaillant tec but in practise it can be a pain. Check system is balanced too. On one job I had a circuit which warmed up much quicker than others and kept throwing it into partial load.

For those of you that are interested....

Vaillant engineer came out to the school today regarding poor heating temp. It seems someone has been play with all the buttons on the front (think it could of been the caretaker) & it wiped the memory in the PCB putting the boiler into limp mode so to speak. I wasn't there but just had a call regarding it, the vaillant engineer said ONLY a vaillant engineer can reset this returning the boiler back to full working order.

Hope this help's people in the future

Vaillant shouldn't put access code to installer level in the manual!

They do put the code 17 in the installer level and then you can access it. Its the same for other vaillant models as well.
