A friend sent me a text today saying they have f32 fault code showing on boiler which is a vaillant ecotec, f32 is listed as fan block issue .

This common fault on these ?
 
Sounds like fan failure, I've had one of these.
 
Daft as it sounds have you tried to run it with the case off?
 
Not gone down there yet said i will pop over this evening for a nosey so just looking at a heads up
 
Don't know if it's relevant, but I've had a couple where the flue on horizontal runs of more than one length have come apart inside. It's almost like the plastic inner shrinks and the gases mix, but runs fine with case off. Let me know how you get on, my mate works for them on the tools. But I won't bother him till tomorrow.
