Hi All,
New to this forum so please bear with me!
Have the above boiler fiitted, approx 10 yrs old. suddenly the hot water flow rate has reduced by around 50 - 60% than previously.
Has been mentioned to me that its probably the main heat exchanger scaled up, but i would have thought the flowrate would have reduced over a period of time??
I'm reasonbly competent, is it a job I should tackle myself?
Thanks in advance.

main heat exchanger will make no difference to flow of hot you need to look at the secondary heat exchanger

If it isnt your secondary heat exchanger and youve got the boiler in bits and it starts to leak as the o rings fail on rebuilding it and the electrics get wet and fry, you will soon have a very large bill when u eventually call in the experts. Why not call them in now and save lots of potential hassle.

I dont bother servicing my vehicles now adays as everything is pcb this and that, why do people think boilers are any different.

Still its a free country, so thats what generates loads of my business:D
