Hi - Can anyone tell me if they've had any experience with the Vaillant unvented cylinder leaking at the connection between the vessel and the immersion heater? I have a slow leak that has a steady drip when heating up. Is it just a case of tightening the immersion heater? Is there a gasket or is it just PTFE around the threads? Any help appreciated. Thanks..

usually a fibre washer fitted to an immersion heater, but who knows what you've got until you check?
you could try to tighten the immersion, but it will probably start leaking worse than before.
as it is an unvented cylinder, work on these is limited to someone with the proper qualification.
best advice really has to be to call someone qualified to take a look, get them to sort the leak and do the annual service of the cylinder at the same time.
