Damsel in distress desperately needs a Vaillant VC GB 242 EH flu kit or flu extension kit, 2nd hand or new. Can you help me, please?

Were are you located but if you are moving boiler would suggest may as well replace at same time,as may be working ok but for how long

Thanks for your reply. We're in Bristol. We're not moving house or changing the position of the boiler, only having 90 mm external insulation applied, which means that the existing flu is not 'sticking out' enough, but would be more or less flush with the new exterior render. It would be a shame to change boiler, not just because of the expense but also because it has never given us any trouble all the years we've been here and works like a dream... Thanks again.

If its a non condensing boiler you have no chance of purchasing a new one.

get an rgi in to measure up and then he can source the flue parts fro one of his suppliers and then he can install it and sign it off for you.
