Hello friends,

I hope that you can give me some advice. I have a virtually unused Vaillant VCW 20/1 T3W Serial Number 20465347 installed in a chalet in Lydiate, Merseyside. Everything has been turned off for some time. I have cleaned the boiler, turned the propane back on, have the water flowing through it and the pilot light lit, but nothing happens when I turn the tap or the heating on. Is there a procedure that I can go through to start the boiler, or to eliminate or identify faults? Any help or advice very much appreciated as I cannot find any literature on this model.

Kind regards,

Eddie Marshman.

have you tried vaillants them selves used to be very good with replacement lit but be prepared for a long wait on phone
if its failing to light for either three imediate possibilities spring to mind is the stop button fully out ? is pump running
and theres a small diaphram on the front of the gas valve which proves the pump is running which can stick

If boiler light on and has not been used for a while the pump may require freeing off
If you do have to use vaillant help line ,can you let us know how long it takes to get answered :)

well i have pdf of that boiler but dont know how to post it for you :((
if someone can tell me ill send to you :))

Hello,

many thanks for your replies, I suspect that it may be the pin at the front that is sticking. Can I put WD40 on this to free it up or does it work by water pressure? in which case do I need to increase the pressure?

Kind regards, Eddie

Hello Ground Contol,

I would very much appreciate a copy of the PDF that you have for this boiler. If you send me an email to [email protected] and attach the file as a file, you should be able to send it as an attachment.

Many thanks,

Eddie
