Hi all,

Me and the old man have decided to take it upon ourselves to fit a new sink in the kitchen. Almost immediately however we have encountered a problem.

The cold tap has a valve that can easily be removed, however the hot tap (on the left) has one we have no idea how to get off..

I have taken a picture of it and would appreciate it if someone could explain how to do it. We are obviously not pro's, but we fancied saving a bit of cash and trying it ourselves.

Cheers guys.

firstly I assume you have isolated the hot water if so then the white fitting is an older type speed fit coupling to release you have to push down the ring at the the very top [and bottom] of the fitting and pull the pipe out of the fitting whilst keeping pressure on the ring hope this helps 🙂regards turnpin

Brilliant, thanks a lot. The hot water is isolated.

Just one more question (for now) is it as simple as pushing it back together when we're done?

Thanks again!

yes but be careful not to damage the o ring inside maybe apply a tiny bit of liquid soap to pipe then wipe off straight away just to save tearing the o ring good luck🙂regards turnpin

the impossible we do straight away but miracles take a little longer longer😛😛🙂regards turnpin
