Just out of interest what vehicle do you use for your business?
Have you had any problems with it?
Have you got signs on it? if so dose it help you get work?

I have a Vauxhall combo van, plenty big enough. Customers have Bathroom suites etc delivered and councils take old suites away for small fee. I have a simple sign/logo on van, had a few calls from this.

i run two renault trafics one sign written still not enough room.
never had any problems as they are both on renault warrentys.

I run a Dodge Ram SST pick up with sign writing on it, i have had no problems runs like a dream and gets me lots of work

Before taking a break from plumbing i used to run either my nissan skyline, BMW or my evo.
If you want business you gotta make a statement.

No doubt if there is any north east guys on here they'd have heard about it lol

£1850 from ebay
£73 for graphics
£7 per month insurance
£35 TAX
60mpg fuel (£18 to fill tank!)

But you can only fit a pair of spanners and an olive in the back though !

I like the look of the Citreon Dispatch size wize, but have a vauxhall combo myself.

when i started up i got a vauxhall vivaro. Plenty big enough for everything. As a lot of my work is bathroom refits, is big enough for a suite, all the rubbish that you rip out and some stock to save you always running to the merchants. All signwritten, and have got a couple of leads from people seeing the van. A big thing is the professionalism that it portrays though- priceless!

Just cost me £1000 for a total engine rebuild.. Piston 2 blew up. Its the mid piston on them that goes..

Got a 4 year old Deisel Transit MWB med high roof (had it from new) just after 68,000 miles it burnt out crown of a piston, new engine fitted. Apparently the 2.4 Duratorque engine is known for it. Had some bits done while it was in, result,,,,£3.5k bill. Ouch.

Got a combo... 52 plate

Had it 4 years, its a great little van slow but never lets me down. Was thinking of getting something a bit bigger maybe a vivaro!

i have driven transits for years and love 'em only problem with the one i have now its front wheel drive? crap in the wet and on hillstarts with a bit of weight on.

Purchased a Renault Master DC22 (ex British Gas) from a guy on Ebay. Excellent vehicle, came racked out with lockable tool chest, plenty of room inside and has a ladder system on the roof to get your ladders on and off easily. Also has two 3m lockable pipe carriers. MOT for a year, service history (36K mileage) and get around 27 mpg for under £3000. If I cant get work plumbing I can do removals! (if anyone sells a house!!)

i would like to withdraw my remark about my front wheel drive transit. we had four inches of snow overnight, i passed a few rear wheel drive transits stuck in the gutter. i love my van its great!!!!!

Hi there, I run a Berlingo at the moment for my forklift training business but I am thinking of getting rid off it and getting a Doblo for when I start up my plumbing business. I bought the Berlingo off ebay from a guy in Yorkshire 5 years ago and had no problems with it. Want something slightly bigger so have been looking at the Doblo and they seam large enough.

Anybody got one and if so is it big enough and how does it run.
