Evening all. Return rubber Hose has split. New 1 coming but was wondering, does the heat ex need to come off to change it? Only ever done the flow rubber hose.

Yes has to come out , still easy job , top tip - take out ex vessel it helps you see if you have the flue seal in place before you assemble everything, you will see what I mean . The hx is heavy .

Thanks @townfanjon thought it may be the case as I saw the hose going up the back of it. A quick flick through the MI and I didn’t see a mention of how to change it.

Yet hex out also while it’s out stick some water mains though it to give it a quick flush both ways

Top tip.

Always replace as a pair. If one goes the other not far behind.

A colleague replaced one hose only for the other to go weeks later and taking the board with it!
