Have inherited a half cocked system which am now trying to sort. Attached is a photo of the setup. well part of it. Am just being certain what the 2 pipes on the top of the air seperator are.Think I am correct in saying the 22mm pipe is the vent and the 15mm pipe is the feed/expansion one.
Is it normal to have a seperator?
Yes and I know the soldering looks dire even I can do better than that!

15 mm is the feed from the f and e tank

And yes 22mm is the safety vent

There we'll know for getting blocked (air separator)

The 15mm pipe from the F/E tank has a gate valve fitted is this a good idea or not as I suppose could be accidently closed.
