Evening all,

just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on these boilers?

Started using them recently haven't had any issues so far :hurray:

Jason

I know they are very well regarded but ive not fitted one yet

Very good boilers

Haven't fitted anything else for the last 6-7 years think there spot on.

Service quite a few. No issues with them. Except for 1 installation, had to change two pcbs on two boilers only months apart. Customer wasn't smiling to say d least.
Having said that, the other 30 odd I service very rarely go. I change electrodes and ionisation probes regularly enough.
They run like clockwork.

There are 100s on an estate near me which give little trouble (council estate) although I did not fit any of them. I do service them as and when. Its a newish contract (2 years) like most domestic equipment its mainly down to the user

thought id jump in here with a question of my own. were havein one of these viessmann vitodens_222-f 26kW unit installed into my house. im putting togeather a parts list and am i right in saying that the unit has integrated circulating pump and expansion tank but no Scale Reducer/ corrosion guard/ filter. ive been given a information brochure and spec sheet from my plumber but its in german and he speaks little english. i could hunt online but saw this post and took the opportunity to just ask . house is supplying 16 rads on 2 separate lines and a single bathroom. no underfloor heating.

thanks

I've not fitted any but i've been to repair a fair few...seems that if installed well, they ok, if on a badly flushed system - not such good news. ie More bad installations than bad boilers.
I think they good price and easy to work on with quite good teci backup.
The dial twisting to - and - fro- ing to commision can take a lot of getting used to tho!

thanks ted ya im not gonna touch the boiler myself and the plumber lives down the road so if something goes wrong i know where he lives :32:

am i right in understanding i will require a Scale Reducer/ corrosion guard/ filter in addition to the boiler itsself

looking at
Evolve Limebeater 22mm Inline Scale Reducer
Salamander Inline 22mm Corrosion Guard
FT1 Total Filter or SENTINEL System Filter 22mm

is this personal opinion or publicly accepted ... its about the same price as the TF1 are there any advantages one over the other?

personal, there both great filters

but i would go with the pro2 (slightly smaller than the tf and better design)

veissman parts are bleedin expensive, just bought some today !!!

I asked about these boilers few months ago if i recall someone on here mentioned pcb's are well iffy.

I fitted two 050 Vitodens for a landlord before Xmas. Both had problems, heating not coming on,intermittingly, external Honeywell clock, I put it down to user error on the first one,but the second one did the same told him to get Viessmann out. They said they had faulty Pcb's and were changing them all.I wonder if that is why they are now supplying a free plug in timer with all the 050's

hammer that was me. Had prob with 2 pcbs on same site. Boilers weren't long outa warranty and supplier didn't entertain
Have to say boilers are pretty good. But my customer with d 2 faulty pcbs mightn't agree

Fitted loads ,,had problems with boilers modulating down ,,after customer had cast iron heat exchanger boilers didn't give out enough heat they were used to ,,also found combis poor with hot water output,,
