Before i wave the white flag, do we have experts on the dreaded Vokera Compact 29HE Combi

Customer initially reported no heating or hot water

I went to look at the boiler and it was dead, no pump or fan activity, then it just started working and did so until i left. Customer then reports the solid red lock out light, i checked sensors etc and all appeared fine. Due to the red lockout light being linked to a faulty ntc i changed it.
Again all works fine then customer reports red lock out light again, and after re setting does so regularly.
I have checked sensors, burner modulates up and down to high and low flame on heating and hot water, removed and cleaned fan venturi all appears ok.
The only thing i have noticed is that some times the heating only fires up for 20 - 30 seconds before going to its standby cycle. After the 3 -4 min pre set delay it fires back up and will either stay on for several minutes or cut off again after 20 - 30 seconds. I cant find anything wrong with the boiler and i am confused by what it is. The customer reports if the boiler is stood for period of time without operation the red lock out light comes on even if no demand.
I am suspecting the pcb but at over £200 + i am reluctant as it has never actually locked out whilst there.

Any idea's ??
