Have a Vokera compact that was leaking. pressure at zero on arrival. Cover off, combustion cover off, there's brown water in the chamber and the insulation pads are soaked. First thought is the heat exchanger. I topped it up to see if the leak was visible and I couldn't see anything. I turned it on and as soon as the fan ran the brown water was thrown about inside again. Turned it off, dried it up and half an hour later the pressure was at zero again.
now I'm thinking the two issues may be unrelated and the fan is drawing out condense if it is choked? And the pressure is dropping for a different reason.
its my mates house and I was only there for about 45 minutes late on last night to make it safe and give him a rough idea. I'll be back today most likely.
any ideas?
