hi all

just had a quote from a gas safe installer who says its ok to install this boiler with 15mm gas supply as there is no other gas appliances in the property,

anybody know anything about this boiler

how longs the run?

but cant see esp with a 30kw boiler

If the connection at the boiler is 22 then manufacturers advice no less , check manufacturer specs. Most 30kws are 22mm , km at even need 28 depending on length of run.

Best to upgrade the 3m run to 22mm to be right.

the manafacturers book says no less than the boiler inlet which is 15mm. I think there is approx 8 metres of 22 mm to the kitchen from the meter and then 3m of 15mm to the boiler

defo need 22mm depending on elbows/route may need a length of 28

cant understand why the manafacturers installation manual would not insist on this

its down to the installer to work the gas.cold water and hot water needs out

i presume the guy who has fitted the boiler has done this and said its ok and has signed off the benchmaark sheet

its down to him/the installer, and whos going to get it in the neck when it goes wrong

3m of straight 15mm pipe will give a drop of 1mb (max drop allowed) on its own to a 30kw boiler never mind the rest of the pipe or any bends.
It needs upgrading period :)

1.5mb now :) well on Worcesters it is

Unfortunately some installers leave a lot to be desired due to being to thick or too lazy or just couldn't care less.
