Hello. Has anyone come across this...see title

I've checked the two temp sensors got 14 500 ohms on both.
I Checked continuity of harness to fan all ok.
I know there's more i should do but it's not clear in manual.
What voltages to look for on the different wires to fan.
Also what's the code plug?
Thanks

The code plug looks like a SIM card, drop the panal and remove the cover for the wiring and I think it's bottom right as you look in.
The rest.....well I'm just a simple man!!

On the pcb like said b4 it looks like a sim card but its like a mini psc as green and its vericallly slotted onto pcb, and has a tie rap holding it in place,,,, i had a worcester recently not lighting and tried everything and moved the code plug and away she went ,,,

sorry ment to right mini pcb

had this on a 28i j and it was the gas valve. solenoid failed

by volatile lock out i assume it runs and bangs its nuts off try looking at the simple things first for example circulation

Volatile lock out is how the fault is described in the service manual. It is indicated by the rapid blue flashing light and non light reset light.

Which gas valve do you have fitted? If it's the old style prettle with the rear connections then check they aren't damp. I've had this before and it does cause volatile lock out.

It also says the fan, so it might be a case that the fan is not relaying it's speed back to the main pcb. In this case the fan usually 'hunts' or goes at full rate whilst it's on and then goes off after a long period of time when it locks out.

check for mains at the fan, they are prone to failure, especially the main hex if its not been stripped and cleaned for a few years

Yeah.. I was looking at the fan but there are about five wires there. There is power between two of them but I don't know what the voltages should be between the others. Also the pump runs but the fan does not

Check for 240v AC on the pink wire. This is power to the fan. If there is power on here, but fan is not running, fan is goosed.
