VRT 360f central heating timing problem

We have been using the control panel like an "on/off" switch since we moved into our new house. Now it's starting to get colder we want to set the heating to come on for a few hours in the morning and at night. I have gone through the booklet and set the time periods I want the heating to come on.

When I press 'info' several times it shows me both periods for each day of the week (H1 & H2), yet the heating doesn't come on during this period? Is there anything I need to do to activate the timed heating?

have you got the instructions for your unit? if not do a search on google you can find them on the vaillant site.

Best advice I could give is to either look for instructions on the net or get a clued up family or freind to do it for you. But he/you will need to get the instructions first.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I have the instructions booklet and followed them to set the day/times. It doesn't state anywhere that there is an additional setting to activate these. Very confused!
