VW Caddy ?

I am looking to change my van and have been considering an ex BT caddy. I know they are the SDI model and have a speed limiter, but I am not worried about acceleration and speed ( I have a 18 mile drive to get my nearest dual carriageway)

I am more concerned about economy and reliability.

I am told they are well looked after and the racking looks great.

Interested in the views of any BG guys who have driven them.

Speed limiter ! sounds the ideal van for Mcnivens up in Glasgow with is 9 points + 3 pending.

I have a 1.9 tdi, it's great, but lots of electrical faults...always popping bulbs
and probs with fuel shut off. I expected more from a 07 caddy, my 12 vito
never missed a beat....

I have a previous shape Caddy with a 1.9 SDI engine. Not sure if its the same engine in the new shape, but its not too bad, its actually quite responsive and revs more freely than any turbo charged engine I've driven. Make no mistakes it is not fast, but has enough torque to lug itself about and is averaging 45-47mpg with a roof rack.

Have the newer 1.6 TDI for past year now. Limited to 70. Plenty of pep right up to the 65 mph mark fully loaded.
Far from sluggish.
