How high above a bathroom sink do people generally fit wall mounted taps? I have a couple sets I need to first fix tomorrow and I have only fitted one before, was just wondering if there was a standard height or just purely down to customer preference?

It depends on the spout, tile layout and other constrictions. But I would generally fit theses 100mm above the rim of the basin to the base of the spout. So 950mm from finish floor level.

I had in my head about 100-150 above the rim of the basin.

Quickly set up basin offer up taps and let the customer decide then there is no come backs on you.

I'm with gastec on this one. If there is any doubt, then let the customer decide after making a suggestion as to the right height.

When I first started out I fitted a set of wall-mounted taps as chalked recommends, customer wasn't happy so I had to move them. Customer then came home and preferred the original position so I moved them again to where they started. It was a load of faffin about and re-plastering.
