Only fitted a couple of these but from my experience do they all have to point down ie at 90 degrees once connection made or can they go straight through the wall as a standard toilet?

Grohe do a straight con for pan floats, which clips in. You have to order as an extra.

Just fitted one last week which came with both, forget what brand it is now.

I've fitted a few last year, and they all came with the connection to go either way. Not an expensive brand. I'll try and dig out the receipts.

Viega is the make.

Also fitted another make, which also came with both options. 1.jpg

we often throw the pan cons they come with in the bin and use flexis or solid mcalpines then you can go where you want

The one I picked up from plumbs has just got a standard spigot so I can use any pan connector.

Frame about £180 and the pans come in at various prices. This one was about £300.
