Hi all just a random question to see if anyone can help please. Im after some info on wall tanking.Basically i will have a new shower bath and the side wall is external. The tiler recommends tanking it at a cost of £110.Can anyone tell me if this practice and price is the way forward please. Your comments will be much appreciated.

Hi
Look at the wet decs site advertised on the side bar here, They have info for wet rooms that includes tanking walls etc

You can tank it for half that price...Either a solution kit for about 50 odd quid or a membrane that will be about 8quid a mtr ...

It also depends on how often you use the shower as to how much water ingression you will get..but tanking is worthwhile doing in any wet area's IMHO..

And my trade is a tiler...;)
