Hi all just a random question to see if anyone can help please. Im after some info on wall tanking.Basically i will have a new shower bath and the side wall is external. The tiler recommends tanking it at a cost of £110.Can anyone tell me if this practice and price is the way forward please. Your comments will be much appreciated.

absurd idea, you tank rooms too keep the water in and control where it goes. a good waterproof tile adhesive, and good grouting, takes care of this.

thats what i thought just didnt want to tile to find damage later
